Werdegang / Ausbildung:
KLAUS HU, 1963 born in Heidelberg / Germany, living and working in Berlin, is working across different media with research based topics and mapping strategies. His work is informed by archival research as well as traditional studio-based techniques by juxtaposing historical with contemporary and critical investigations upon global / local issues of identity and transformation by implementing narrative and abstract notions. By mapping narrative and structural /reflective territories, his paintings depict landscapes and abstracted story lines in mostly large scale formats.  He received a fellowship for photography from the Berlin Senate and took part in national and international site-specific competitions like MAXXI Rome, Sharjah Biennale and German Parliament (Marie Elisabeth Lüders competition).  - Recently invited for a Santa Fe Art Institute Residency, Santa Fe, NM, USA. He runs a Studio in Berlin, that challenges the notion of thematic / curatorial and studiobased practice. - While publishing his work online, most of his works are conceived for exhibition, installation or commission.  -
